Chlorine strength in bleach solutions will decay over time as a result of aging, light, temperature exposure, etc. RPC’s E-Z Chek® High Range (Potency) Free Chlorine Test Strips are an accurate, easy, and cost-effective means for validating the potency of diluted bleach solutions used to disinfect water system loops, external surfaces and medical instruments. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a level of 500-615 ppm of available chlorine be present in 1:100 diluted bleach (NaOCL) solutions. Be certain there is enough chlorine for safe disinfection of water loops and decontamination of non-porous surfaces by checking the chlorine level in your bleach solutions. It is a simple and fast 60 second “dip and read” test strip with easy to interpret color changes. This strip features one-step testing for chlorine ppm values of 100, 200, 350, 500, and 750.
